Learning Resource Centre

FSD is privileged to have a fully stocked library and learning resource centre for use by our staff and students before, during and after school.

Detailed opening hours of the facility are below:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8.00am – 4.00pm.
  • Friday: 8.00am – 3.30pm
  • All students are welcome to use the LRC during the above opening hours to borrow and return books, use the computers for school work and buy stationery items.
  • Access to table areas at lunchtime for all year groups.

This page will be used by our new Librarian Mrs Thompson to share information with parents and students. Please come back soon to see the exciting developments the LRC is making!

The shortlists have been announced, and our Carnegie Shadowing Group is raring to go!

The CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals are the UK’s oldest and most prestigious children’s book awards. Often described by authors and illustrators as ‘the one they want to win’, they are the gold standard in children’s literature.

We will be shadowing the judges as they read and reread the 8 shortlisted Carnegie titles over the next few weeks. Why not keep track of our progress by checking out our webpage ?
