To celebrate the end of the first term studying techtonics with Mr Knights, Year 12 were invited to a ‘bake off’. The task was to create a bake with a theme related to global techtonics.
Some strong entries were fielded, and for some, it was their first time baking a cake.
Mr Byers, Mrs Thompson and Mrs Rayson were invited to judge.
The winners, despite some tough competition, were Lucy J and Emily A with their ‘Volcano Cake’ – a chocolate sponge with a marshmallow volcano sitting atop and dinosaurs to complete the effect.
Special mentions go to Joe H’s effort, showing the layered structure of the earth, and to Robert A and Ethan W, as this was their very first time baking a cake – they produced one to a very high standard, with even a layering effect within the sponge.
