Washington D.C. , the capital of Unite States in located on the East coast of 
the Uni=ited States  (D.C means district of Columbia) The four main cities on the nothern east cost are (North to South ) Boston, New-York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
From the biggest to the "smallest, New-York, Washington D.C, Philadelphia and Boston.....

Washington D.C. is called so not to be mistaken with Washington State which is situated on the northern west coast next to the English Canandiab boarder.
